Roll Up, Roll Up: Using Pandle’s New Product Tours

If you’re running your own business (or helping someone else manage theirs) you’re probably used to figuring some things out by yourself. That doesn’t mean you can’t have help along the way though, even if it’s only a little nudge to point you in the right direction.

Here at Pandle our product testing team includes people who aren’t accountants, bookkeepers, or software developers. That way we can make sure Pandle makes sense to everyone who uses it, right from day one.

Being simple to use is a big thing for us, and that includes helping you get everything set up in your shiny new Pandle bookkeeping account. For starters, when moving from alternative bookkeeping software our onboarding assistant helps you understand how to import any existing accounting data so you can hit the ground running.

There are also guides and articles galore on our blog and in the help centre, all of which you can access online or within Pandle itself. And let’s not forget the Live Chat specialists; our team of trained bookkeepers are based in the UK, and always ready to talk you through any issues you’re having.

But to make things as super-duper easy-peasy straightforward as possible we’ve now added product tours to help you get your bearings even faster. It’s pretty magical, just without the mystery – let’s take the tour!

What’s a product tour?

Our product tours are a bit like having an on-screen helper to show you round Pandle. So that you get the right sort of help, our product tours fall into two categories.

There are onboarding tours to walk new users around the software, helping them discover what’s what everything is, and where it lives. There are also smaller tours to guide you through using every feature in Pandle, equipping you with all the tools you need in your bookkeeping arsenal.

A solid start to bookkeeping with onboarding product tours

The great thing about using an onboarding tour is that you’ll be able get started on your bookkeeping whenever it’s convenient for you. Pandle can show you where everything lives, even if it’s the middle of the night.

That way, there’s less chance of missing any of the accounting features available on Pandle that you might not think to look for, especially if your previous software didn’t have them.

Once you create your new Pandle account, the tour will load automatically when you sign in, ready to welcome you to the gang.

It will then signpost the features that are available in your account, helping you find your way round the software even if you’re not sure what you’re looking for, or should be doing! You can work through each stage at your own pace, and just click ‘Next’ when you’re ready.

Built-in training for your bookkeeping software

Once you know your way around, you might want more detailed support on individual features and tools. This is where our smaller feature tours have their time to shine. You can access these from Pandle’s help centre any time you need them.

Just search the topic you need help with, and view the tour.

You will only be able to view tours for features that you have access to though, so if you’re on our free plan then a tour for a Pro feature won’t load until as you don’t have access to this yet.

Just like any good teacher, Pandle’s feature tours are effective because they help you learn things in the right order. So, if you want to learn about creating customer invoices before you’ve created any customer profiles then you can, but Pandle will let you know that the Adding Customers tour might be a more useful place to start.

We’ll also be bringing out tours for any new features we release in Pandle, meaning we can guide you every step of the way to complete bookkeeping bliss.
