This month we spoke to Dan, co-founder of Hit Creative!
Hi Dan! Tell us about your business.
We are essentially a cross-over between content creators and brand/marketing consultants, working with clients to tell their story, promote their products or services, and grow their audience. We bridge the gap that exists between creating the assets themselves, and also understanding how to execute to gain the desired results.
What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?
A few spring to mind… Of course as creatives it’s always a challenge to take care of the admin, the finances (so thanks for taking care of that), but also it’s a lot about growth.
While we are super focused on growing, it’s also the case that we have to be selective about the clients we bring on – making sure we are a good fit for them, and they for us.
So it’s not growth at all costs, it’s selective growth. Quite challenging to get right, but you have to go with your instincts and intuition, and it’s worked quite well so far.
How does Pandle fit in?
Pandle suits our business as it’s a simple and intuitive tool that doesn’t require the end-user to have knowledge or experience of accountancy. We do all our invoices in there, and obviously we’re able to keep track of our P/L and other finances and make plans based around the insights it gives us.
What do you have planned for your business in the future?
We’re very focused on our current cycle of projects and clients, and we keep pushing to make sure we’re providing the best level of service and quality conent that we can. We’re fortunate to have numerous long term relationships that go back many years, which is the key to any successful business, but we are also hugely ambitious and we are looking to bring in fresh young talent to manage the next generation of long term clients that will come to us!
