Pandle Update: Using Companies House Data to Create New Customers and Suppliers

Taking care of admin is one of the unavoidable parts of running a business. To make things a little simpler, we’ve further enhanced our Customers and Suppliers features so creating new profiles is quicker and easier than ever before. Winner, winner!

What does the Companies House integration do?

When users begin creating a new customer or supplier and enter the name in the ‘Display name’ field, Pandle will now check Companies House and shows the user a list of potential matches.

That way if the business is registered as a limited company, users can simply select it from the list, and Pandle will populate the form with the company data.

Not only does it save users spending time entering information manually, it also reduces the risk of data entry errors. Now, there’s a double win.

Wait, what are the Customers and Suppliers features?

These tools help users manage the people they do business with. From setting customer credit limits, to pre-populating information for speedier invoicing, users can deal with customers and suppliers more efficiently.

Pandle can even be used to record and attach receipts from suppliers, and our Notes feature helps users keep track of where they’re up to.

Now that we’ve upgraded these tools with our new Companies House integration, the process for setting them up is even faster.

Users can either add new suppliers and customers by:

  • Navigating to the correct tab on the Enter Transactions screen, or…
  • Selecting to add a new customer or supplier from the quick links menu.

Then they simply enter the name of their new supplier or customer as normal, and Pandle will show a list of suggested matches based on information from Companies House.

Pandle will then populate as many details as possible based on the information held by Companies House, all users need to do is fill in any additional information and then hit save.

We’re also pleased to confirm that Pandle Mobile users can expect to see this feature on the mobile app in very near future.

Please tell me which is the fastest way to customer supplier data feature

Hi Steven

Thanks for your message! The Customer and Supplier features will only show in your Pandle account if you confirm that you work with customers and suppliers in your business. If you need to update your settings, head over to Company Settings in Pandle, and then select the Financial Info tab. Check the boxes which confirm ‘Do suppliers invoice the business?’ and ‘Does the business invoice customers?’, and then click the Update button to save your changes. Once enabled, your Customers and Suppliers tabs will be available from the main navigation menu when you sign into Pandle. If you’re still having issues, click the Live Chat button on your screen, and one of the team will take you through it!
