Pandle Update: Improvements to Check and Confirm Process

At Pandle HQ, we love finding new ways to improve our users’ experience. So, when we realised there was a way to make Pandle faster, we got straight to work. To achieve this, we have tweaked our check and confirm process for Bank Feeds and File Imports, which will make a noticeable difference to the overall speed of Pandle.

Straightforward bookkeeping, faster

We regularly carry out performance analysis checks on Pandle to make sure everything is in tip-top condition. Previously the check and confirm process for imported transactions saw users having to tick each transaction, and then click the ‘Confirm Checked’ button.

Just like in the example below:

The drawback with that process was that Pandle could then have to suddenly process a large volume of data in one go, rather than regularly processing smaller amounts of data. The strain would slow Pandle down for everyone, as well as taking a long time to process those transactions for the user. It’s a bit like doing all of your Christmas eating in five minutes, rather than spreading it out – it makes things slower and much less enjoyable.

Fortunately, our development team popped on their white coats and thinking caps, and have come up with the answer to this conundrum!

Now, users will simply click the ‘Confirm’ transaction button after they’ve categorised and checked it, rather than ticking it off and then confirming everything in bulk at the end.

As you can see in this example:

Use Bank Rules to Check and Confirm transactions at light speed

Don’t worry, we aren’t going to leave our users with a long list of transactions to confirm manually. Last year we added our Bank Rules feature to Pandle to help automate the process, and claim back some much needed time.

Simply create a bank rule in Pandle, and it will assign the correct categories and tax codes to transactions automatically. Pandle will still let users see transactions auto confirmed by the bank rule, as well as any left to check and confirm manually.

What’s next for Pandle?

To make sure that Pandle is ready for the next generation of users, we’re currently working on a large scale server upgrade. Our development team are almost ready to complete the update – we can’t wait to announce the details to you very soon!

We’re always listening here at Pandle, so if you need help and support on any aspect of our software, just hit the Live Chat button on screen.
