We know how important it is for our users to have up-to-date financial information about their business. After all, it’s why we’re all so passionate about straightforward bookkeeping here at Pandle.
When a user’s bank is undergoing maintenance, it means that the bank feed provider might not be able to import transactions into Pandle. But, if the user doesn’t know that there’s a problem importing data, then they might make decisions or actions based on out-of-date information. That can be pretty dangerous for a business.
So, because we try to simplify our users’ lives as much as possible, we’ve added a new notification feature, so they always know if there’s a Bank Feed issue. Relieved sighs all round!
Bank Feed status notifications
At the moment, users can click on the Bank Feed Status Updates button in the Pandle navigation menu to view a list of banks affected. But, this involves scrolling through a list of all the currently affected banks to locate their bank and view more information on the issue, including the estimated resolution date.
Now, to make things even easier, when a user goes to check and confirm their transactions on the Imported Transactions screen, they will get a notification from the Bank Feed provider if their specific bank is undergoing maintenance.
This way, users know as soon as there is an issue with their bank, to help plan around the delay. They can also check the expected resolution date by clicking to view more information on the issue from within the notification bar.
The status notification will also be shown in the Connect to Bank modal, which can be accessed by clicking on the ‘Refresh Bank Feed’ button.
