This month we spoke to Joshua Goodall about his building maintenance company based in West Yorkshire.
Hi Joshua! Tell us about your business
We are a building maintenance company based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. We work with both domestic and commercial clients across the region on building and construction projects, such as home extensions, property renovation, commercial building maintenance and home adaptations.
What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?
Myself and my business partner, Jamie Keegan, joined forces during the Covid-19 pandemic to establish Elite Building Maintenance, having both worked in the industry for over 10 years prior.
Whilst we have had a lot of success and won some great contracts, there have been numerous challenges such as rising fuel costs, increase in cost of materials and finding the right staff. We have had to keep a very close eye on our cashflow to ensure we stay ahead during these challenging and unpredictable times.
How does Pandle fit in?
Pandle has been great for us. We wanted an easy-to-use system that would make quoting and invoicing simple. When time is limited, we can rely on Pandle to work efficiently and provide a seamless and user-friendly experience. We can also quickly view our financial reports and see any outstanding payments that need to be chased or quotes to follow up.
What do you have planned for your business in the future?
We want to continue to grow the business and win bigger projects, but we are mindful that our growth plans may take a little longer to achieve with the current economic crisis. At the moment, we are focused on our current clients and staff and ensuring we continue to deliver our best.
