This month we spoke to Richard Savage, managing director and conflict coach of Savage Macbeth. Savage Macbeth specialise in training people how to negotiate and resolve commercial conflict more effectively.

Hi Richard! Tell us about your business

Savage Macbeth are experts in negotiation. We specialise in helping people and organisations to develop stronger relationships and leverage better deals with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders through the application of influence, persuasion, problem solving and negotiation skills.

We do it through training, mentoring and coaching and advisory services. We run a world class 2 day interactive training programme available on an exclusive one company or public attendance basis.

we are very proud of the brand we have created and we are delighted to now be attracting new clients.

What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?

We call ourselves the CLASS OF 2021. We are one of a few businesses mad enough to start up amidst the COVID-19 pandemic! This in itself is a challenge with so much uncertainty and conflict at play. But given that is what we are all about we reckon there is no better time!

Like all entrepreneurial endeavours there is huge risk in setting up your own business. However despite the challenges we are very proud of the brand we have created and we are delighted to now be attracting new clients with a busy autumn ahead – the future looks bright!

How does Pandle fit in?

Pandle is a service I have had previous and very positive experience with so we engaged them for our start up at the beginning of 2021.

We really like the balance between control of your finances both in terms of availability of data and dynamic reporting of our position and the ability to liaise with our own accountant through the accountancy partnership who has immediate sight of the same information. Decisions are made quickly and efficiently which feels like an altogether modern way to manage the finances of one’s business.

What do you have planned for your business in the future?

We have ambitious plans to grow the business throughout the UK and then further afield. We are looking to recruit more staff in early 2022 and develop stronger deeper relationships with our existing clients as well as attract new ones.
