This month we spoke to Heather Howe, project manager of development company Sox Digital about their passion for providing services whilst doing the right thing.
Hey Heather, tell us about your business!
We’re a small development company based just outside Truro. We launched Sox Digital because we strongly believe in doing the right thing.
All too frequently we found ourselves disappointed with our experiences elsewhere, so decided to ‘be the change’, and provide the kind of organised, passionate service we wish we’d experienced.
What are your aims?
Our aim is to help small businesses to take the next step online. Whether you’re building a professional website, setting up an online shop, or developing your first Cloud software, we’re here to help you through those vital first digital steps.
We’re very community-focused, and feel strongly that small businesses deserve the opportunity to grow and scale.

We don’t think that budgetary constraints should slow your growth, so we help businesses advance online at a price that’s affordable. We strongly believe in supporting the community of other small businesses.
If we all support each other, then we all have a better chance of success. Success brings more into the economy, generating work for people and putting back into our local communities.
It’s something that we take very seriously, so we don’t charge for advice, and there’s no obligation to hire us afterwards.
What particular challenges did you have to overcome in setting up your business, and since then?
When we decided to set out alone with our own business, we were worried about the financial red tape comes with running a company.
We’re not accountants, but we wanted to make sure we did things the right way from the get go, and our accountants, The Accountancy Partnership, were there to help guide us through our obligations.
How does Pandle fit in?
Pandle handles all of our bookkeeping for us, and makes it a doddle! We don’t need to spend ages reconciling our banking, and can log all of our supplier payments and raise client invoices really quickly.
What do you have planned for your business in the future?
We’d love to grow and start hiring to expand our team further, and provide even more support to our wonderful clients.
