This month we spoke to Mary, company director of Beauty Essence Limited about her haven of tranquillity in Central London, and how business has adapted as a result of COVID.
All our COVID safety measures are in place – masks, visors, gloves, aprons, temperature testing, hand washing, hand gel, deep cleaning, social distancing – the works. We also accept online bookings 24 hours a day.
We started in 1987, providing the perfect place to unwind and beautify with exquisite treatments and the latest beauty techniques. Our therapists are highly trained and experienced, and we only work with the best quality products.
Our treatment programmes range from electrolysis, to facials (CACI, Comcit, Dermalogica, Environ, Guinot), and micro-dermabrasion. We also offer a range of IPL treatments for hair removal, skin rejuvenation, and vascular lesions (or thread veins) as well as waxing, massage and manicure/pedicure treatments.
You certainly sound busy! What sort of challenges do you encounter in your business?
Our biggest challenge so far has been surviving COVID. We’re situated in the financial district of London, so 90% of our clients are working from home. We’ve gone from seeing 50 clients a day to 5!
Our next big challenge will be building our business back up.
