Pandle Update: Additional Reference Field for Quotes

Some things just don’t fit in a box, but that doesn’t mean they don’t matter – it just means we need a new box! This is especially true if those things just happen to help our Pandle users secure new business.

So, to help everyone stay organised whilst growing their businesses, we’ve updated our Quotes to include an additional reference field. Bonza!

Sending customer quotes quickly and easily

Our quotation tool is a key part of saving time and effort for our users, whilst helping them attract new customers. After all, providing a compelling quote to prospective clients can help secure valuable business.

With Pandle, users can create a professional looking quote with our customisable templates, and even send it across to the customer directly from Pandle.

Quotes can also be converted into invoices once they have been accepted, and when it’s time for the client to pay.

It sounds pretty efficient, right? That’s because it is! So when our users asked for a way to help them and their clients keep track of quotes for different projects and jobs, we knew what we needed to do!

After all, we’re constantly striving to make bookkeeping as refreshingly simple as possible for our users.

An additional reference field for simple communication

The development team incorporated a simple additional reference field, just like we have for our Invoices. It’s a free-text, 25 character user-defined information field, for users to include whatever reference or identifier they like.

Now users and their customers can keep track of quotes for different jobs, even if there are multiple projects with one customer and a range of invoices for each project.

Users simply create a new quote as normal, by either:

  • Using the dropdown menu on the Enter Transactions tab, or
  • Selecting to create a New Customer Quote from the quick links menu.

Then the Additional Reference field can be utilised whenever it’s needed.

This small, yet practical update has been highly requested by users, so we’re pleased to now bring this into Pandle. It’s feedback from our users that helps us make sure Pandle continues to provide simple, yet powerful, accounting software for small businesses, for free. So, keep those suggestions coming!
