It’s 2017 already! While it hasn’t been everyone’s favourite year, we reckon we’ve had a fair few good moments.
Firstly we want to take a moment to say thank you to all our users, new and old who have helped us to improve Pandle and create a helpful bookkeeping service for small business owners.
Thanks to all our great users we’ve been able to grow Pandle and improve all the bits and bobs that make a difference to how you use Pandle.
December updates
We didn’t want to leave out the latest updates in our annual review, so here’s what we were working on through December.
Pandle Help Centre
December saw the Pandle Help Centre go live. Currently only basic Pandle information is provided on the help centre, but we’re adding to this on a weekly basis, and will continue to do so as Pandle grows and more information is required for new users.
The help centre will also be accompanied by interactive help, which we hope this will help cut down the time it takes for users to find out information. You can find the Pandle Help Centre at https://pandle.zendesk.com/hc/en-us.
Improvements to View Transactions
You might have caught our blog post on our new Pandle feature ‘Transactions Filtering’ earlier this month.
If not, here’s what you need to know.
We received a lot of feedback on Pandle’s transactions, which we’ve decided to act on. Rather than just one way one categorising your transactions in Pandle, we’ve added multiple ways of organising your transactions including; date range, transactions type, category, bank account and tax code.
You can find more information on this feature and how to activate it in our blog post.
Small changes
Here are some of the smaller changes we’ve made to Pandle in December:
✓ Updated terminology on new company wizard to be more intuitive
✓ Bulk deleting of invoices added in the invoice list view
✓ Added remote support assistance links on Pandle for support issues
✓ Additional warnings when entering banking transactions to prevent duplicates
✓ Added a historical date suggestion on bank feeds and imports to suggest when the transaction dates should start from
✓ Pending transactions in bank feeds separated into a new tab for user convenience
✓ Category/description columns now separated in view transactions
✓ Refresh prompt for users who have two-step authentication for their bank feeds has been implemented
✓ Functionality for exporting draft transactions from bank feeds added.
Annual updates we want to shout about
Now we’ve filled you in on all the latest news from Pandle HQ, here are the annual updates we’re shouting from the rooftops!
User interface updates
You might remember earlier this year that we made a bit of a hoo-hah about some big changes coming to Pandle.
We gave the user interface of the site a big overhaul in order to make Pandle more user friendly and easier to navigate. We were thrilled with the outcome, and are very thankful to our development team for all the hard work they put in.
Pandle Pro
Pandle Pro was another huge feature from the Pandle team that we couldn’t wait to go live this year. While Pandle will always be free for users, we wanted to offer the option of more extensive features for those users who would be happy to pay for more services from Pandle.
With that in mind we created Pandle Pro, an extended version of Pandle that for £5.00 a month (+ VAT) allows users access to a variety of other useful features. See all of the Pandle Pro features here.
Pandle Partner Account and Brandle
Accountants and bookkeepers can now gain more from our services by becoming a partner with Pandle. This may mean setting up a Pandle Partner Account which allows accountants and bookkeepers to switch between their own Pandle accounts and those of their clients.
Alternatively, you may be interested in a Pandle White Label account, or Brandle. Brandle sets you up with your own cloud accounting solution without the cost of developing it. We’re proud to be the only cloud accounting provider to offer this!
If you’re interested in either of these accounts, all you need to do is get in touch.
A word from our director…
With 2016 being such a big year for us, we thought it was important you hear from our director, Lee Murphy, on how he thinks the year has gone for Pandle.
“2016 was a great year for Pandle, we implemented key functionality and a complete redesign which has put us in a great position to compete with the bigger solutions. 2017 will be another important year for us and we envisage that by the end of the year that we will have one of the best overall propositions on the market.”
What’s in store for 2017?
Since 2016 was such a big year for Pandle, there was only one thing we could do for 2017 – go bigger! We’ve got plenty planned for this year, and we can’t wait to fill you in on the details and get our users involved.
Pandle App
Possibly the biggest update in the firing line for 2017 is the Pandle App. This will become a huge part of Pandle for small businesses that already bank online, as they’ll be able to completely manage business finances from their phone. What could be easier!
Keep an eye on Pandle’s monthly newsletter for updates on the Pandle Andriod and iOS Apps.
Pandle Global Account
Also on the horizon for Pandle HQ in 2017 is the creation of the Pandle Global Account, which will allow Pandle to bring great cloud accounting solutions to the entire world, not just the UK.
The Pandle Global Account will accommodate any currency, as well as facilitating different types of sales tax and multiple languages.
Do you think we’re missing something? If you think there’s something Pandle should be working on in 2017 that isn’t listed here, let us know in the comment section below! If we agree with your suggestion, we’ll get started on it as soon as we can.
